Rockfish was founded in Rogers as an innovative digital media firm. Its innovation led to fast growth and ultimately its 2011 sale to WPP Digital, an international communications company based in London.
That innovation also made it a fun place to work, especially for millennials, and earned it a spot among the honorees in Arkansas Business’ 2013 Best Places to Work.
From its northwest Arkansas starting line in 2006, Rockfish quickly expanded across the country. Its offerings entail technology expertise, innovation services, enterprise solutions and retail insights for many of the world’s leading brands including Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club and Cisco.
Rockfish’s services include market research and strategy, systems integration, software architecture, branding, design and interactive marketing including social media and search engine optimization.

Free Friday lunches bring workers together to eat, share news and celebrate. YouEarnedIt, a platform developed by Rockfish, is an employee recognition program that rewards good work with points that can be redeemed for gifts.
Each Rockfish office has a Cultural Connection team that provides regular recreational activities to break up the work day, an employee appreciation day is held at each office every summer, and annual employee awards are handed out at each location every year.

A good idea is worth sharing. So it is that Rockfish Interactive’s employee recognition program YouEarnedIt was turned into a platform for use by other companies.
Rockfish managers initially wanted to reward employees for extra effort by giving them gift cards, which turned into an informal points system, which led to YouEarnedIt.
The platform is a tool by which employees can recognize each other and show appreciation. Points are granted monthly and employees can award them to co-workers for outstanding performance or extra effort.
The points can be redeemed for gifts or services and companies can decide their own rewards.
The gifts are nice, but YouEarnedIt also provides a quick snapshot of how well employees think of each other.
