Mansion Sold for $5.1M in 2012 Now on Market for Much Less

Pulaski County’s most expensive home is for sale after all — for $3.25 million this time.

Last week, we reported that a west Little Rock mansion that purportedly sold for $5.1 million in 2012 wasn’t listed for sale. When we contacted the Janet Jones Co. of Little Rock two weeks ago, a rep there said the agency wasn’t listing the house and that it wasn’t listed by any company in the MLS at the time.

It turns out that Janet Jones agent Debbie Teague had the home listed, but it wasn’t in the MLS as of Sept. 12. “I have been working to get it on the market,” which included updating the landscape, Teague said last week.

Crown Financial LLC of Houston asked her to list the property, she said. Which is curious since Crown Financial doesn’t technically own the house.

Crown Financial filed a foreclosure lawsuit against La Marche Drive Investment LLC, which was led by Jeremy Carroll, but that case was recently dismissed because the defendants weren’t properly served.

LaMarche listed the nearly 15,000-SF house for $3.975 million in January 2012, shortly after buying it from homebuilder Rick Ferguson and his wife, Deanna. The warranty deed indicated that La Marche bought the home for $5.1 million, a price that many in the real estate community couldn’t quite believe. The house didn’t sell and was pulled from the market in January 2013.
