Fred Wood, formerly a co-owner and founder of Cornerstone Business Advisors LLC of Little Rock, has joined DD&F Consulting Group Inc. of Little Rock as a principal and general counsel. Wood, a graduate of Vanderbilt Law School, began his legal career with Wright Lindsey & Jennings in Little Rock in 1993. He also worked for Alltel Corp. and co-founded Boomerang Carwash LLC.
Dean Hoover, formerly a vice president, has been promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer at Koontz Electric of Morrilton, and W. Mark Day, formerly a vice president, has been promoted to EVP and chief financial officer. Other recent promotions at Koontz include Richard Dold to vice president and director of field operations; Keith Foster to VP and chief estimator; Jeff Ludwig to VP and senior project manager; and Bryce Koontz to VP of business development.
Dathan Gaskill has been hired as chief financial officer for Garver, the multistate engineering firm headquartered in North Little Rock. Gaskill has more than 20 years of corporate financial experience. He earned an MBA from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Dr. Jason Paxton has been named medical director of the emergency department at White River Medical Center in Batesville. Paxton has been associated with White River since 2003. He will continue seeing patients in the WRMC Wound Healing Center.
Dr. Kenneth Holder has joined the medical staff at St. Bernards First Care in Jonesboro. A native of Bono, he is a graduate of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and has practiced in Madisonville, Ky., for the past 17 years.
Monte Callicott, executive director of the East Arkansas Area Agency on Aging, has been appointed to the Arkansas Healthcare Quality & Payment Policy Advisory Committee by Senate President Pro Tempore Michael Lamoureux.
Vincent M. Ward has been named a partner of Wolff Law Firm in Little Rock, and the firm’s name has been changed to Wolff & Ward. Ward practices in the fields of business law, taxation and estate planning.
Jo Anne Wyatt has been promoted to the position of managing broker of the Greers Ferry office of Crye-Leike Brock Real Estate, a franchise of Crye-Leike Real Estate Services of Memphis. An agent with the firm since 2010, Wyatt received her real estate broker’s license this year.
Kathe Sumbles of Keller Williams Realty has been named Realtor of the Year by the Little Rock Realtors Association. A real estate agent in Little Rock since 1996, Sumbles has served on the LLRA board of directors since 2011 and was chairman of the Arkansas Realtors Association Convention in 2012.
Kalina Bowles has been named manager of the Maurices store in Little Rock.
