Driver Target of Lawsuit After Bank Crash

Sometimes in life you find yourself in need of car insurance — but not for your car.

Observe this example, from Rogers Bancshares Inc., the bankrupt holding company of Little Rock’s Metropolitan National Bank.

In August 2012, Nicholas Pruss of North Little Rock lost control of his vehicle and smashed right into the Metropolitan office in Maumelle.

According to a suit filed in September in Pulaski County Circuit Court, the crash caused about $9,000 in damage, and Pruss now owes Rogers Bancshares a total of $11,609.

The bank’s insurer, Cincinnati Insurance Co., demanded payment from Pruss and was “refused.” Thus the lawsuit, which was filed by the McHughes Law Firm of Little Rock.

Pruss hasn’t responded in court, and we weren’t able to contact him.
