Pickles & Ice Cream, one of Little Rock’s oldest maternity and baby stores, recently moved to a 4,590-SF storefront in Breckenridge Village at 10301 N. Rodney Parham Road.
Eloise Leffingwell, who has run the business with her husband, Don, for the past 23 years, said she was excited to be neighbors with stores like Barbara Graves and to be in the same area as activity centers like The Wonder Place and Gymboree.
The store employs five people, including Eloise and Don, and sells a wide variety of child-related items, including bedding, maternity clothes and clothing for boys from newborn to 24 months and girls from newborn to 6 years.
Eloise and Don recently began selling more furniture, and it was this new focus that prompted them to look for a different location. Bulky items like swivel glide recliners and chairs were a challenge to move at their previous location in the Market Place Shopping Center, but the Breckenridge Village location has multiple sets of double doors and an industrial lift to help customers get their purchases to their cars. “It was like it was tailor-made for us,” Eloise Leffingwell said.
