Small Business Administration Adds Jim Aardappel to Arkansas Office

Jim Aardappel has joined the Arkansas District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration as deputy district director. A Navy veteran, Aardappel will be working to enhance SBA’s programs for veterans.

Aardappel has extensive knowledge and experience in international marketing and small business development. He previously owned a small restaurant in the Indianapolis area, which he operated with his wife for several years. Aardappel comes to the SBA from the U.S. Department of Commerce in Michigan where he was a senior business specialist with BusinessUSA and CommerceConnect.

Before taking the job at the Commerce Department, Aardappel managed export sales for Draper Inc. He also spent many years with Delco Electronics and Delphi Corp. in customer support and international sales.
