Virgil Miller recently joined Arvest Bank in Little Rock as the Community Reinvestment Act director. In his new position, he will be responsible for the Arvest Banking Group’s CRA compliance.
Cliff Gibbs, regional executive for Arvest, said, “Miller has a stellar reputation in banking circles that is well-deserved and based upon his long track-record of performance, integrity and hard work.”
Miller’s career in banking stretches back 36 years, the last 13 of which were spent at Metropolitan National Bank in Little Rock, where he served as the CRA officer. Miller, a graduate of Arkansas Tech University, also worked at Worthen Bank, Boatmen’s Bank, NationsBank and Bank of America.
A longtime resident of Little Rock, he has served on the boards of the Arkansas Capital Corp., Arkansas Economic Acceleration Foundation, Baptist Health Board of Trustees and Heart of Arkansas United Way. He also is a member of the Municipal Airport Commission, which sets policy for Clinton National Airport.
