Verizon Wireless has named Kristi Crum, a native of Little Rock, to lead its south central region, which includes Arkansas, Oklahoma, northern Mississippi and western Tennessee.
According to a news release, Crum will be responsible for development and growth of the region's retail, indirect, finance and operations functions. She replaces Dean Taylor, who died Dec. 24. Taylor had served as president since 2011.
Crum is a graduate of Hendrix College in Conway and in 2001 began her career as analyst at Alltel. She continued working for the company following its acquisition by Verizon in 2009.
Currently, she resides in Danville, Calif., where she was director of retail sales for the northern California region. She will be relocating to Arkansas.
"I've had a tremendous opportunity to work in our corporate headquarters in New Jersey and lead sales on the West Coast," she said in the release. "Now it's good to be home with family and friends and have the opportunity to serve customers and communities with innovative solutions that can really make an impact here in Arkansas."
