Garver LLC in North Little Rock is celebrating its 95th anniversary this year. Founded by Neil Garver after World War I, the company now has nearly 400 employees and 17 offices in nine states. The firm shortened its name from Garver Engineers after expanding its service offerings to include architecture, survey and construction services.
• The dietetics program in the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food & Life Sciences at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville recently earned reaccreditation from the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition & Dietetics. The program is a pre-professional course for registered dietitian nutritionists in the Bumpers College’s School of Human Environmental Sciences.
• P. Allen Smith of Little Rock has won multiple Taste Awards for his television shows “Garden Home” and “Garden to Table.” “Garden Home” won the awards for best organic program and best home décor program, while “Garden to Table” secured an award for the best branded program.
• Acxiom Corp. of Little Rock was named Supplier of the Year by Media Magazine for the recent launches of its Audience Operating System and AboutTheData.com, its consumer portal.
