To sustainably grow our regional economy, we must continue to focus on assisting existing companies with issues that restrict their growth while marketing our regional assets to new industries searching for a home. Today more than ever, quality of place is defined by infrastructure, human capital and vibrancy. All have to be nurtured to retain and attract people, jobs and investment. The MetRock Now economic development campaign capitalizes on proven success by targeting economic, community and talent development opportunities for regional growth.
Where miles equal minutes, 1 million people live within 50 minutes of downtown Little Rock. So, 12 Central Arkansas counties and their unique communities are united to compete as one common, globally recognized brand — Little Rock. With more than $2 billion in new capital investment, more than $516 million in new annual payroll, and 15,037 jobs later, the results are indisputable and historically unprecedented. The Little Rock and northwest Arkansas Regions also launched a historic collaboration in “super regionalism” to benefit the entire state and its contiguous regions. LittleRockChamber.com
The thriving, successful businesses in the 12-county Little Rock region enjoy a unique cooperative support system of complementary communities linked by like-minded leaders as well as connective corridors. This, along with a quality of life far greater than the sum of its parts, helps the Little Rock region maintain the momentum of a balanced, stable and diverse economy as well as position us perfectly to attract, grow and retain the talent and workforce integral to the industries of tomorrow.

The excitement is overwhelming as the new space is being prepared for our March 2017 opening. Many of the current tenants of the LR Tech Park @ 107 space are eagerly anticipating their new, upgraded digs in the Main Street facility. These companies came into our startup space renting desks by the month and are now transitioning to a larger space with more employees and more opportunity for growth. The Little Rock Technology Park’s contribution to the local economy centers around being a catalyst for job creation and talent retention, and the progress is obvious day to day. The citizens of Central Arkansas are excited about how far we’ve come and where the industry is headed.
