Angie Longing will serve as the executive director of nursing at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center in Little Rock. Longing, a board-certified nurse executive, was previously executive director of nursing at St. Vincent North and St. Vincent Morrilton.
Chris Gibson has been promoted to corporate regional director (northeast) at ARcare, a nonprofit affiliate of Baptist Health in Augusta. Also promoted to corporate regional director were Ron Sellers (northwest) and Alex Collier (central).
Dr. Matthew Bell and Dr. Joshua Kennedy have joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock as assistant professors in the College of Medicine’s Allergy & Immunology Division. Both earned their medical degrees from UAMS. Bell went to the University of Wisconsin Hospital & Clinics in Madison, Wis., for his fellowship, while Kennedy completed his at the University of Virginia Health Systems in Charlottesville, Va.
Amy Funderburk has accepted the position of executive director of the Jack Stephens Heart Institute at St. Vincent Infirmary after filling the role in an interim capacity for several months. Funderburk earned a BSN at the University of South Carolina at Columbia and an MSN at Drexel University in Philadelphia.
Michael Hart has been promoted to vice president of information technology applications at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock. Hart, who has a master’s degree in health care informatics from the University of Missouri School of Medicine, has been with ACH for five years and previously served as chief nursing information officer.
Steve Keen was promoted to president of controls and HVAC at Powers of Arkansas in North Little Rock. Keen previously served as vice president of the department. Rick Lewis was promoted to president of service. Lewis previously served as vice president.
C. Tad Bohannon, a partner at Wright Lindsey & Jennings LLP, is joining Central Arkansas Water in Little Rock as its chief legal counsel. Bohannon has been in private practice for 20 years and has served as general counsel for numerous municipal corporations and commissions.
Jason Sullivan was promoted to vice president of lending at Union Bank of Mena. Also promoted were Patty Young, vice president of lending and secondary market mortgages; Brian Hensley, vice president and controller; Heather Grenier, vice president of loan administration; Aloma Gilbert, vice president and Hatfield branch manager; Kyle Cannon, assistant vice president and Wickes branch manager; Scott Parish, assistant vice president of information technology; and Heather Risley, loan officer.
Stephen Brown was recently appointed as president and CEO of Alcoa Community Federal Credit Union in Benton. Brown was formerly a senior managing director at Acxiom Corp. in Little Rock.
Christina Madsen was recently hired by the University of Central Arkansas in Conway as associate vice president for communications, public relations and marketing. Madsen graduated from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in Minneapolis with a degree in communications.
Luke Ferguson has joined the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce and Conway Development Corp. as senior vice president and general counsel. Ferguson obtained a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and history from the University of Central Arkansas and earned his Juris Doctor from the William H. Bowen School of Law. Kara Darling has joined the chamber as a graphic designer. Darling previously was creative director of the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute in Morrilton.
Joseph R. Falasco and J. Cliff McKinney II have become managing members at Quattlebaum Grooms Tull & Burrow PLLC in Little Rock. Falasco received his law degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and focuses primarily on commercial litigation and appeals. McKinney also received his degree from the University of Arkansas and focuses on real estate, land use and green building.
Jan Hubbard has rejoined The Watkins Co. in Little Rock as controller. Hubbard previously managed the day-to-day activities of the Watkins accounting staff from 1996 to 2004.
Les Mizell has been promoted to vice president and sales director of Sissy’s Log Cabin in Pine Bluff. Mizell has been with Sissy’s Log Cabin for more than 15 years and in the jewelry business for more than 40.
Angela K. Hopkins, an accountant with Frost PLLC in Little Rock, was recently certified as a fraud examiner by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
