The Conway Regional Health System said last week that it still is considering its affiliation options.
“There’s really no update,” said Conway Regional Health spokeswoman Lori Ross. “We’re reviewing all our options.”
Ross declined to say how many hospitals have expressed interest in working with Conway Regional, which operates a 154-bed acute care nonprofit medical center.
In October, Conway Regional announced it was exploring “potential strategic affiliation options,” including partnering with another health care provider or system. Conway Regional invited potential partners to offer ideas about different affiliation options.
“The next step is a decision to go forward — if we make a decision to go forward — and who that might be,” Ross said.
She said that a choice should be made within the next few months.
Still, “there’s a possibility … that we may decide not to pursue this any further,” Ross said.
