Jerry Bullard, COO of First Financial Bank of El Dorado, has succeeded Steve Cameron as CEO of the lender, the bank said Thursday.
Cameron, who has retired from the bank after more than 30 years there, will remain on the bank's board of directors and executive committee. Hired in 1984, Cameron led the bank's growth from $122 million in assets to $870 million in assets, expanded retail operations into Mississippi and made the company one of the nation's largest agricultural lenders.
Bullard was originally hired by First Financial Bank in 1983 as an assistant vice president. He became COO in 2000.
First Financial Bank has 270 employees, seven retail branches in South Arkansas and two retail branches in Carthage and Senatobia, Mississippi. It also has four mortgage offices in Arkansas.
