ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Responsible for all elements of the monthly financial closing process. ? Reconciliation of the General Ledger to sub-ledgers (e.g. A/R and A/P) as well as review of various general ledger account reconciliations prepared by staff. ? Prepare, review and analyze financial statements for management. ? Coordinate with Financial Operations personnel regarding project setup, validation/ correction of revenue recognition calculations, and the review of billed and unbilled A/R balances. ? Work with Financial Operations team on daily cash forecasting and maintenance of the cash forecasting tools for periodic review by upper management. ? Maintain and review indirect rate pools and allocations. ? Review and post cash receipts daily. ? Assist with the annual preparation of audit schedules and incurred cost submissions. ? Document and update internal policies and procedures as needed. ? Assist in the management of the semi-monthly payroll and weekly accounts payable functions, as needed. ? Oversight of the daily cash reports to management and periodic borrowing base reports for lenders. ? Assist project setup team as needed to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. ? Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS, DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: ? Familiarity with FAR, CAS and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), to include a detailed understanding of revenue recognition concepts. ? Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work independently, including keeping immediate supervisor informed of issues. ? Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment. ? CostPoint experience preferred; solid Excel skills required. ? Must be detail-oriented and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. ? Excellent customer service, analytical, interpersonal, and people management skills. ? Ability to read and understand government/commercial contracts. ? BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance is desired; CPA or MBA preferred.
