EAST Core Coordinator

The EAST Core branch of the EAST Initiative is seeking a full time EAST Core Coordinator. The primary duties of the EAST Core Coordinator includes providing on-site support to EAST Core schools and their participating employees, assisting with the development and delivery of professional development, and collaborating on project based learning resources. The EAST Core Coordinator also engages in activities that support the mission and vision of the EAST Core program and the EAST Initiative. Additional duties include collaborating on communications development and the digital/print presence of EAST Core, assisting with operations including scheduling, coordination of resources, program development and process, and outreach. The EAST Core Coordinator should have a working familiarity with CCSS, NGSS, PARCC, TESS, and the Arkansas Frameworks for Secondary Math, Science, and English. The successful candidate will have a basic understanding of computer networking and have the ability to troubleshoot some technical problems, be proficient with MS Office, have the desire to explore technology and stay abreast of current educational trends, provide timely, accurate, and detailed reporting. Experience as a secondary math or science teacher or curriculum coordinator and experience in curricular design and instruction is preferred. Knowledge and/or experience with the successful implementation of project based learning and/or the EAST classroom environment and EAST philosophical approach is required. The ability to collaborate in teams, make decisions and take calculated risks, ability to foster relationships, experience or comfort with public speaking, and a general understanding of statistical analysis is preferred.
