Director, Upward Bound Math/Science Program The Lyon College Upward Bound Math/Science Program seeks a Director to develop and direct the program in accordance with the Department of Education funding grant. Responsibilities include establishment and monitoring of the program’s goals and objectives; coordination of Program services and activities; development and management of budget and oversight of project expenditures; selection, orientation, and supervision of staff; recruitment and selection of participants; serving as liaison with sponsoring teachers and target school personnel; serving as research and statistics manager for Program and tracking of participants; and implementation of Program assessment and evaluation. Qualified applicants will have a Master's degree in STEM or an education-related field; grants management or project management experience; experience in an educational setting; familiarity with the needs of students in the Program target area; supervisory experience; computer skills to include spreadsheet applications; and excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience working with low-income, first generation students and/or personal experience in overcoming barriers similar to those confronting the target population is preferred.
