The Arkansas Department of Information Systems (DIS) is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator/Specialist to work in the Little Rock, AR area. This position is a full time position working at the DIS Office Building in the Capitol Complex. Primary duty is to perform Windows Server System Administration to include software planning, installation, configuration, performance tuning, monitoring, security, backup/recovery and troubleshooting/support. This position requires the applicant to be able to perform customer support in a help desk type environment and work duties as needed to meet customer needs/goals in a manner that is satisfactory to the customer. This position also requires participation in a rotating on call schedule consisting of one week out of every six to eight weeks. The applicant must be able to communicate with all project team members, project managers and their resource manager on Windows Systems issues. This position requires good people skills to instill teamwork and cooperation with co-workers.
