An Appreciation: Jake Hatley on Twister Play-by-play Some of us around the office this weekend caught the Arkansas Twisters vs. the Amarillo Dusters broadcast on local radio. That season-ender was a nail-biter, with the Twisters notching a 40-34 overtime victory in front of season-high crowd, earning the AF2 team home field advantage for the first round of the ArenaCup Playoffs. We all know how impressive the Twisters players were vs. Amarillo. But we'd also like to shout out play-by-play announcer Jake Hatley's skills on the mike that night. Hatley's got an energetic style that made listening to the game that much more fun, we think. And Jim Harris notes that Ray Tucker's analysis offers "a sublime commentary" that perfectly offsets Jake's excitability. In terms of solid play-by-play, this Hatley-Tucker team delivered Saturday, just like the Twisters. Take a listen yourself to the highlight reel here, courtesy the Twister front office.
