Dana Altman Returns to Arkansas; UALR Plays Host to Creighton

The Bluejays will be making their first-ever appearance at the Jack Stephens Center, where UALR is 30-15 all-time, including a 16-3 mark against non-conference opponents. The Trojans are 9-1 all-time in November home games at the Jack Stephens Center.

Creighton returned 10 lettermen and three starters off last year's squad, which went 22-11 and played in the NIT. Sophomore P'Allen Stinnett was named MVC Newcomer and Freshman of the Year in 2007-08, and was voted preseason First Team All-MVC prior to the start of this season. Stinnett comes into the game tied for team high scoring honors with Booker Woodfox at 15.7 points per game.

The Bluejays are averaging 83.7 points per game this season and boast a +8.3 turnover margin - forcing opponents into 22.3 turnovers per game. On the glass, however, the Bluejays sport a -3.7 rebounding margin and have been outrebounded in two of their three games.

Sophomore guard Matt Mouzy enters Tuesday's game averaging a team-high 15.7 points per game. The Jonesboro native also leads the Trojans in minutes played (34.0 per game) and is shooting a team-best 42.3 percent from three-point range.

With one year of Division I experience under their belts, seniors Shane Edwards and John Fowler have shouldered more of the load in their second season at UALR. After averaging a combined 13.1 points per game in 2007-08, the duo is averaging a combined 27.7 points per game this season. Edwards is second on the team in scoring at 15.0 points per game and leads the team with a .607 field goal percentage. Fowler ranks fourth on the team in scoring (12.7 ppg), third in rebounding (4.3 rpg) and second in field goal percentage (.550).

Following Tuesday's game, UALR wraps up its three-game home stand against Loyola Marymount on Saturday at 7 p.m.

UALR fans should call the Hogs when Altman is introduced...
