Arkansas linebacker Khiry Battle was arrested Sunday and charged with driving under the influence and a pair of other offenses.
Battle, 20, was also cited for violation of implied consent - refusal to take a breathalyzer - and violation of Fayetteville's noise ordinances. This is the second time since May that Battle, a reserve linebacker, has been arrested. His previous run-in with police stemmed from failure to appear on a previous charge.
Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino was not immediately available for comment. Battle is the fourth Arkansas football player to get arrested in 2009.
Battle was booked at 2:25 a. m. He was released a few hours later after $830 bond was posted.
Last season Battle, 5-11, 220, appeared in 10 games. He had five tackles and was expected to play a more significant role on defense this season.
