Razorback Basketball Team Signs Two, Waiting on Third

Arkansas' basketball program received some much-needed good news Wednesday.

Guards Rickey Scott and Mardracus Wade signed letters of intent with Arkansas. Forward Marvell Waithe is expected to sign later this week.

Scott was rated as a four-star recruit by Rivals.com and Wade was listed as a Rivals.com three-star. Scott (6-foot-3, 195 pounds) had nine scholarship offers, including Kansas State and Baylor.  He averaged 18.3 points per game his junior season while compiling an average of 6.7 rebounds at Irving MacArthur School in Irving, Texas.

Wade (6-2, 170) had a longer list of offers, including Alabama, Missouri, Memphis, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt, but chose the Razorbacks after playing at both Hargrave Military Academy in Virginia and the Memphis Magic AAU team.

Waithe, a highly recruited player out of Canada in high school (35.5 points per game his senior season), had played two seasons at Tallahassee (Fla.) Community College. He put up 18.9 points per game as a freshman, and the 6-9, 216 pound forward will likely be an immediate impact player for the Razorbacks next season.

Any way they could get to F'ville by Friday?

Good call Arky. I was reading the Omaha World Herald tonight and the basketball section looked like the police blotter if you considered suspensions as a crime. Of course, Arkansas won first place.

Pel has a lotta holes to fill, so logic would have it that there would be a lotta players out there who would see an opportunity for early playing time in Pel's line-up... Pel knows what he's doing and what he's up against, and you can bet that's one of the pieces he's layin...

I agree! Get them here at least for the Louisville game! Do you have to graduate high school first? With all things considered we should find a way!
