Coaches Select UA's Washington to All-SEC Team

Michael Washington was named one of eight first-team players on the All-Southeastern Conference team selected by league coaches.

Washington led the SEC in rebounding last season with 9.8 rebounds per game and was a second-team all league center a year ago. He also averaged 15.5 points per game as a junior, his first year as a starter.

During the summer Washington looked into leaving for the NBA, but he elected to return.

Arkansas faces Dillard tonight in an exhibition game at 7 p.m.

Washington's a good ball player. I hope the hoopsters surprise me because I don't expect very much from this group.
