SPRINGDALE — Jim Lindsay, a running back for the legendary Arkansas teams of the mid-1960s and then for the Minnesota Vikings of the NFL, is to be honored with an Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame banquet.

The banquet scheduled for Friday evening at the Northwest Arkansas Convention Center at Springdale will be a fundraiser for the Hall of Fame.

Sportscaster Pat Summerall will be master of ceremonies. Others scheduled to speak include former Vikings coach Bud Grant, Dallas Cowboys owner and Lindsay Razorback teammate Jerry Jones, longtime Lindsay friend Don Kessinger and former Hog coaches Frank Broyles and Ken Hatfield.
