It didn't take long to see that Saturday was going to be just one of those days for the Arkansas offense.
Mississippi State knocked down a pass and forced and an interception on the first two Razorback plays from scrimmage. From there, Arkansas couldn't break 100 yards rushing and quarterback Ryan Mallett wound up being intercepted twice.
It was just one of those days.
Yep, just another day of 40-plus points and nearly 400 yards of total offense. Just another day of padding Mallett's records and putting together highlight reel worth plays that Bobby Petrino and his staff can show off to offensive recruits, who by now ought to be begging for a chance to play in this offense.
Arkansas was off kilter and out of synch throughout Saturday's game with the Bulldogs. Mississippi State used a variety of blitzes and alignments to throw the Razorbacks offense out of whack and the end result was still a 42-21 Razorback victory.
"We just had to keep battling," Petrino said

This was a battle?
Mississippi State became the latest team to try and fail at slowing the Razorbacks offense down. Granted, the Bulldogs did hold Arkansas to its lowest offensive output since a 299-yard effort in a 30-17 loss at Ole Miss on Oct. 24.
Since then the Razorbacks have been close to unstoppable. They scored 56 last week and piled up 592 yards against Troy. A week earlier they made a good South Carolina defense look bad with 405 yards. That came a week after hapless Eastern Michigan surrendered 589 yards and 63 points.
Arkansas wasn't nearly that good against the Bulldogs. Mississippi State truly confused Mallett and Petrino at times on Saturday.
