Through the first half of the season it looked like close games belonged to Arkansas and blowouts favored Arkansas' foes. It's now apparent that the Razorbacks can lose heartbreakers too. Youth is a blessing and curse for Arkansas. Most of the playmakers are young, but they're also the guys making crucial mistakes. Casey Dick is wildly inconsistent, but that's nothing new. Arkansas has now been outscored 139-31 in three consecutive games and has a very slim margin of error. TEXAS 52, ARKANSAS 10 WHY ARKANSAS LOST: Honestly, this team just wasn't very good Saturday. Arkansas was dominated in just about every way imaginable by Texas, which tied its largest margin of victory this season. Quarterback Casey Dick was ineffective passing and could never get into a rhythm because of poor pass protection, and the Razorbacks ground game was able to make up for it. Texas recorded seven sacks. Arkansas was also bad on defense, giving up 421 yards and allowing the Longhorns to convert 7 of 12 third downs... read more >

WHY ARKANSAS LOST: Where to begin? Costly mistakes affected the Razorbacks on offense, defense and special teams. It was an early running into the kicker penalty on Elton Ford that allowed Alabama to extend a stalled drive and go ahead for the first time. Quarterback Casey Dick threw three interceptions, all of which resulted either immediately or eventually into Crimson Tide touchdowns and the defense continued to struggle stopping the run. Nothing went right for the Razorbacks. It showed. .. read more >
