It's a BCS winning class!
Needs filled, but I wanted more.
Needs were met, I'm OK with it.

Arkansas Chancellor John White Steps Down
Posted at 11:00:29 AM by Tre Baker

Another month, another departure. Following the departures of Stan Heath, Frank Broyles, and Houston Nutt, John White announces today that he will no longer be chancellor of the UA and will instead return to teaching in the engineering department.

Some had criticized White for his handling of Nutt's leaving in November, loosening the "golden handcuffs" and letting the departing head coach take off for Mississippi with a sizeable $3.65 million compensation from Arkansas. In 2007, White was sued for allegedly bungling the investigation into derogatory e-mails sent to former quarterback Mitch Mustain, including some from an account at Nutt's house.

What are your thoughts on White's departure? Are you optimistic for Arkansas' seemingly clean slate in 2008? Or do you think that someone in the old guard should've stuck around to keep an eye on the newcomers?

Also, be sure to vote in our online poll about what your feelings are regarding Dr. John A. White.

Amen. A clean break with the past. His accomplishments may be overshadowed by recent years' shananigans. But we'll miss the self-quoting, etc. Would someone please track down the golden handcuffs?
