Sports Illustrated: Football Razorbacks Ranked No. 69
Posted at 12:10:42 PM by Chris Bahn
Think Bowling Green could beat Arkansas? Would Troy, Navy, East Carolina and Florida Atlantic give the Razorbacks fits?

We're guessing not, but the folks at Sports Illustrated have those teams ranked ahead of Arkansas in their 2008 Preseason Rankings. All 119 FBS teams are ranked, including the Razorbacks at No. 69.

It's worth noting Arkansas faces three SEC teams ranked in the SI Top 10, plus No. 13 Texas and No. 35 Tulsa on the non-conference schedule.

Here's where SI sees the teams in the Southeastern Conference and Sun Belt.

SEC
1. Georgia
5.  Florida
7. Auburn
9. LSU
12. Tennessee
29. Alabama
30. Mississippi State
40. South Carolina
60. Ole Miss
69. Arkansas
72. Kentucky
75. Vanderbilt

SBC
56. Florida Atlantic
61. Troy
90. Middle Tennessee
100. Arkansas State
105. Louisiana-Monroe
112. North Texas
116. Louisiana-Lafayette
118. Florida International

We're No. 69! Ought to help us in the party school rankings.

Editor did a great job analyzing our situation. But you can't put much stake in what SI says they have trouble finding us on the map. To-date, it feels as if we'll have to score 60 a game to hope to win, if what we're hearing about the defense holds up.
