Hump Day Comings and Goings: Jerry Jones Charging a Bundle for Pizza?
Posted at 1:30:44 PM by Jim Harris

Look what we've stumbled onto today in perusing the Web:

Goings

$90 Pizza at Cowboys Stadium?: You better believe it. If you can afford the luxury of one of Jerry Jones's utopian suites, then you'd better be ready to shell out $90 for a large regular pizza in the suites, and that's not even including additional toppings. What's worse is that a 12-pack of beer reportedly will cost a mere $66 to wash down that pricey pizza. We guess you have to pay the cost to eat like a boss.

UPDATE (2:28 p.m.): It's not $90 per pizza after all. It's only $60 per pizza, according to an update to the Dallas Morning News blog by Todd Archer.

Pricing at Cowboys Stadium is pretty high, we know that. But just to be clear, there is not a $90 pizza.

That little nugget seems to have caused a buzz, but it's, well, wrong. And the suites aren't $800,000. And then there's this little deal that was mentioned to me the other day - that cabs would be charged $25 to drop people off. Again, not true, from what I was told.

Now, people in suites can get a $60 pizza. It's 20 inches. There are cheese, pepperoni, chicken and artichoke, meat and margherita options. Toppings included. And it's the same price they had last year at Texas Stadium.

Pardon me while I go eat my homemade sandwich in between practices.

Hamlin Back in the Mix for Cowboys: Ken Hamlin, one of the finest safeties the Arkansas Razorbacks have ever had, is expected to play a big role for the Cowboys this upcoming season. Dubbed the "quarterback" of Dallas's secondary by this Fort Worth Star-Telegram story, Hamlin should be a major factor in keeping the Cowboys competitive this season.

Cliff Lee's Hot Jersey: Benton native Cliff Lee may have only pitched one game for the Philadelphia Phillies, but his jersey is already a hot commodity, even before his first home game. Fans are intrigued at the fact he pitched a complete game in only his first appearance for Philadephia. Best of all, it will only get sweeter for the Phillies fans as Lee grows accustomed to the East Coast limelight.

Comings

Hunter Expect To Join Travelers: Well, it's only temporarily, but it's still the most exciting news we've heard today. Pine Bluff native Torii Hunter is lobbying to rehab with the Travelers over their home stand this weekend. Many folks have been bitter about losing the Cardinals as an affiliate here and picking up the Angels, but we think having Hunter in a Travs uniform would make up for any hard feelings. To sweeten the pot, Friday is midget wrestling night at Dickey-Stephens. Talk about one hot ticket.

On the tube: In MLB action the Rays host the Red Sox on ESPN at 6 p.m.

To satisfy your Little League Baseball cravings, the Big League World Series final is on ESPN2 at 7 p.m. The Big League is a division of the Little League organization and is designated for players between ages 16-18.

For the soccer fans out there, internationally respected Barcelona takes on the United States' own Seattle Sounders in a friendly match-up on ESPN2 at 9:30 p.m.
