Susan Finkelstein was so overcome with Phillies Fever, she turned to Craigslist to obtain two tickets for the World Series between Philaelphia and the New York Yankees. Unfortunately for Finkelstein, an undercover cop took her up on what she allegedly had to offer for those tickets and busted her for prostitution.
The New York Post has the details. Where else? You don't think we'd pick this up in Sports Illustrated, do you?
Her lawyer says she's going to fight the misdemeanor charge, and Susan tells a newly formed Facebook support group that she's innocent. Meanwhile, here's hoping this Phillies fanatic gets to a Series game.
Just a reminder: Baseball has shown TV viewers a little kindness finally, and Wednesday's opening game of the World Series starts at 6:57 p.m. Central time. Benton's Cliff Lee opens on the mound for the Phils. One Arkansan, either Lee or North Little Rock's A.J. Burnett of the Yankees, will end up with a World Series ring.
