How do you feel Arkansas and Petrino recruited?
It's a BCS winning class!
Needs filled, but I wanted more.
Needs were met, I'm OK with it.

Malzahn And Nutt Not Talking, But Saying A Lot
Posted at 11:17:06 PM by ArkansasSports360.com Staff
Clearly, Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt and Auburn offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn have not patched things up after their split at Arkansas in 2007.

Nutt and Malzahn are a hot topic again this week with Ole Miss and Auburn playing on Saturday. Neither man is saying much about the other, but what they're not saying is pretty telling.

Even more telling is the fact both admitted they haven't talked since Malzahn, who Nutt hired from nearby Springdale High, left Arkansas following the Razorbacks' 10-win season in 2006.

Nutt was out of a job a year later and according to ESPN's Chris Low, "it's no secret that Nutt believes the whole Malzahn/Springdale connection played a big role in how badly things deteriorated for him at Arkansas."

This summer, when asked if he would have done anything differently at Arkansas if he had it to do over again, Nutt said pointedly, "I probably wouldn't have hired a couple of people. I probably would have just stuck to my niche."

Andy Bitter of The Columbus Ledger-Enquirer has even more on the  relationship or lack of one.

"I hadn't gotten a chance to visit with him since then," Malzahn said diplomatically, "but he gave me an opportunity to get in the college game ... and ... you know ..."

He trailed off nervously, turning his head and hoping for a different line of questioning. It's clearly still a touchy subject.

Ole Miss and Auburn play at 11:21 on Saturday.

Sadly, HDN hired him so he could get the Springdale 3. Never had any intention of letting him have any sayso in running the offense. He was called "high school" by the other coaches and that is certainly something Nutt could have put a stop to.

One step in the right direction for our defense would be to offer Thamail Morgan a scholarship. The kid has the skills to come in and help us immediately. We need him.

Kenbean,

Thanks Hawgfan, now were finally getting somewhere. Let me address some of your points. WE WERE A POWER IN THE 60s. When intergration can into play in the late 60s and early 70s we did decline slightly. You noted that we were ranked 6 times in the 70s in the final polls a...
