Closing the Book on: Arkansas 33, South Carolina 16
Posted at 9:40:17 AM by ArkansasSports360.com Staff
Arkansas has three games left and needs at least one victory to secure bowl eligibility. Perennial Sun Belt power Troy is next on the agenda, but before we turn out attention there, let's close the book on: Arkansas 33, South Carolina 16.

*Predictably, Chris Bahn doles out good grades for the Razorbacks this week. When an ‘A‘ is the lowest grade on the report card, you know it was a good effort. Was Bahn too lenient or were the Razorbacks that good?

*Big plays were coming from some surprising places on Saturday. Forgotten or criticized most of the season Jerell Norton, D.J. Williams and Broderick Green were the stars of Saturday's win. Jim Harris details the day's efforts for those "Comeback Kids."

*Arkansas responded well to the pressure of what coach Bobby Petrino called a "must-win" game. Chris Bahn writes about the importance of how the Razorbacks reacted.

*It was Steve Spurrier that best summed up the day for his Gamecocks. Spurrier told reporters that Arkansas "thoroughly beat us."

*Ryan Mallett wasn't perfect. He was close. That and more is detailed in our Two-Minute Drill.

What was Jim Harris thinking as the game unfolded live? Read the game blog.

Ar should beat Troy, and they should beat Ms. State. That would put us at 7-5 if we lose in Baton Rouge. I'm not ready to concede that game at all. It all depends on the effort that will be put forth by the defense. I was proud of how the defense played against SC but they a...

Lets not get carried away with this win. It was big in the grand scheme of things but Carolina flat out gave us this victory. Any time you give up 327 yards passing and an 80 yard TD then you haven't done a very good job on defense. We also didn't run the ball as much as ...

I understand the play-calling questions about HDN but are we really ready to question BP! He is an offensive genious so he knows what calls to make 44! There are some plays that I wish somethig else was called but only after we see the play he called fail! Hindsight is 20...
