Arkansas linebacker Weston Dacus did not practice Wednesday, but coaches said there was no reason to be alarmed.
Dacus, a 6-2, 235-pound product of Searcy, simply needed the rest.
Defensive coordinator Reggie Herring said Dacus has played more snaps than anybody on defense this season. Dacus is a senior and understands what Herring wants from him, so the Razorbacks could afford to give him the down time.
"It's the grind of the season," Herring said. "I thought the old guy needed some rest."
Dacus has recorded 69 tackles this season. He has three games with at least 10 tackles, including consecutive games (Auburn, Ole Miss) with 14.
Sophomore Wendel Davis (6-1, 230) is listed as Dacus' back-up at middle linebacker.
