At first glance, this would almost be an item for the 'Outhouse' section of ArkansasSports360.com.
But we are not ones to stink up a good tradition when we see one.
Students of John Brown University in Siloam Springs have made it an annual rite of passage to cover the floor of Murray Sells Gymnasium with toilet paper after the first made field goal of the season.
Though this costs his team a technical foul, Golden Eagle coach Clark Sheehy is a good sport about the tradition that started in the early 80s.
"This is a great rallying point for our campus and community," Sheehy said in a release from the university.
The annual "Toilet Paper Game" has earned a national distinction as one of the top college basketball fan traditions according to the October-November issue of USA Today Sports Weekly. The list also features NCAA Division I programs such as Duke, UCLA, Tennessee and Kentucky.
"To be mentioned with some of the top programs in the country says a lot about our program and our fans," said Sheehy.
John Brown is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and competes in the Sooner Athletic Conference.

Want to see the tradition for yourself? Well then you are in luck. At 7 p.m. Saturday, John Brown will host Hillsdale Freewill Baptist College of Oklahoma in the annual Toilet Paper Game. (Or you can click here to see video of last year's event.)
Fans and coaches may enjoy the tradition, but we don't think Mr. Whipple would approve.
