Tyrell Johnson continues to fill in for starting safety Madieu Williams. "I’m just playing it as long as they need me to. I’m just enjoying my time starting or whatever. I hope Madieu does come back soon. I know it might mean less playing time for me but I don’t wish anybody to be hurt longer than they need to be," Johnson said.

Minnesota didn't come close to spoiling Aaron Rodgers' debut as starting QB for Green Bay, allowing the Pack to win Monday 24-19. Tyrell Johnson got bit during his first game on the Vikings defense, falling for a play fake and allowing some double-digit Packer yard gains.

With safety Madieu Williams expected to miss six weeks with a pinched nerve, Tyrell Johnson gets thrown into the Vikings defense a bit sooner than expected. So far, Johnson has stood out in a good way among other rookies during summer camps.
