Bobby Petrino was hired as Arkansas' 30th head football coach on Dec. 11, 2007. His arrival to replace Houston Nutt was criticized by some in the national media due to his vacating his head coaching position with the Atlanta Falcons before the season had concluded. Petrino has gained favorable reviews so far with the Arkansas media, especially in regards to his choices in assistant coaches.
