The president of the Teamsters local in North Little Rock says he will meet with Gov. Mike Beebe next week as the union tries to keep ABF Freight Systems from moving its distribution center — and most of its 300-plus jobs — to Memphis.

ABF Freight, Teamsters Ratify 5-Year Labor Agreement

After months of negotiations, ABF Freight System Inc. and the Teamsters ratify a five-year labor agreement that will go into effect Sunday. The contract, which runs through 2018, calls for 7 percent wage reduction, along with other benefit cuts. The wage reductions begin Sunday.
