Arkansas Act 1275 of 2015, the Local Government Energy Efficiency Project Bond Act, allows municipalities and counties to take part in guaranteed energy cost savings contracts. These local governmental entities can seek to reduce energy consumption or operating costs of government facilities by using the services of qualified providers. The length of a contract can be up to 20 years after the implementation of a project.
