The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra’s signature annual event, Opus XXXI The Symphony Grand Ball was presented by the Capital Hotel, Glazer’s, Jan and Dr. Randal Hundley, Simmons Bank, Sissy’s Log Cabin and Little Rock Soirée magazine. Jan and Dr. Randal Hundley served as event co-chairs. Held at the Capital Hotel, the evening kicked off with a reception of passed hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and wines, followed by a spirited live auction emceed by Craig O’Neill. Guests then enjoyed a first course of smoked salmon tartare with cucumber pickle; an entree of braised short ribs with Brussels sprouts, king trumpets and red wine sauce; and a dessert of hazelnut biscuit with chocolate hazelnut cream and tonka bean chantilly. Glazer’s provided Meiomi chardonnay and pinot noir. After dinner, the ASO Big Band provided entertainment while guests danced the night away.
