Can real jurors be successfully educated away from the television perception of the expectations of “scientific evidence?” Similarly, can they be persuaded during a jury trial that preconceptions about businesses cheating, destroying documents and hiding facts may not be at all true?

Beaten In Legislature, Tort Reform Fight Continues

Even though legislation involving tort reform failed to make it out of the General Assembly last month, attorneys are pushing forward with the idea. Sen. Eddie Joe Williams, R-Cabot, who introduced the measure, says business groups supported the legislation and that tort reform is needed because surrounding states have it.
