National Association of Economic Educators Elect Sue Owens as President (Movers & Shakers)

Sue Owens, executive director of Economics Arkansas, a private non-profit educational organization in Little Rock, has been elected to serve as the 2016 president of the National Association of Economic Educators. Owens served as president-elect in 2015 after serving three years on the NAEE executive committee.

Peter Lane Amps Up the NWA Arts Scene at Walton Arts Center

Under Peter Lane's leadership, the Walton Arts Center is scheduled to undergo a massive 30,000-SF expansion and renovation of its signature building on Dickson Street. The Walton Arts Center also owns the Arkansas Music Pavilion, which is getting a new venue, an $11 million outdoor amphitheater that will open this summer in Rogers.

Walton Arts Center to Open New Outdoor Amphitheater This Summer

Walton Arts Center is planning to break ground in October on an outdoor concert venue at Northwest Arkansas Mall in Fayetteville. The new hillside amphitheater will be a replacement for Arkansas Music Pavilion.
