Not to repeat ourselves from Saturday, but there is no denying that Arkansas has failed to recruit up to Alabama standards over the past four years. Truth of the matter is, the same might be said for 118 of the 120 Division I Bowl Championship Subdivision programs. Arkansas fans, rather than jumping off the bandwagon before the season is five games old, need to let this all play out and enjoy what happens on the field.

Arkansas' Apex Uniforms: Ahead Of Their Time?

While engaging in conversation about uniforms with a few folks on Twitter last night during the Maryland-Miami game, those Barry Lunney Jr.-era Apex uniforms that Arkansas wore came up. You know the ones. Huge Hog and some sort of stripe on the shoulder pads, extra large numbers on the front. Were those uniforms simply ahead of their time? Does Apex — long panned as an apparel company, particularly among Razorback faithful — deserve more credit for this crazy uniform phenomenon?

It would be understandable if the eight members of the 7A-West convinced the Arkansas Activities Association to move the classification’s state championship game – heck, make that the semifinals too — to Reynolds Razorback Stadium on the University of Arkansas campus. Playoffs in the state’s highest classification have been dominated by the West for most of the decade.
