Otter Creek Mall Development Decades in the Making

Once upon a time, the current site of the Gateway Town Center and Bass Pro developments was slated to be part of a grand 1.1 million-SF regional mall development. The fabled Otter Creek Mall never achieved escape velocity from its drawing board concept unveiled on April Fool’s Day in 1980.
