by Todd Traub 9/25/2012 10:00 am

It was only a matter of time before a member of Arkansas' NFL contingent factored into a blown call by the NFL's replacement referees. Bahn: Ryan Mallett Learning With Patriots, Wants 'Multiple' Super Bowls As QB Starter

by Chris Bahn 5/4/2012 12:00 pm

Former Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett made his way around the lower level of Razorback Stadium posing for pictures and signing autographs for nearly 40 minutes during the Red-White game on April 21. It didn’t matter if the fan was a grown man, college girl or a child, Mallett took time for them. Mallett, the record-setting Razorback quarterback now a reserve with the New England Patriots, was particularly generous with the kids and even when he tried to break away from the crowd, he couldn’t. There was always one more person to pose with or sign for and Mallett did his best to oblige. Just as Manning did four years ago when the Giants ruined New England's perfect season, he guided them 88 yards to the decisive touchdown, which the Patriots didn't contest as Ahmad Bradshaw ran 6 yards with 57 seconds left.

by Chris Bahn 12/16/2011 9:54 am

Ryan Mallett is in a familiar position. Mallett, currently a backup in New England, sat out the 2008 season at Arkansas after transferring and spent the year with the view that quarterbacking the scout team was his “game” for the week. It was a great way to stay engaged while waiting his turn for the Razorbacks. Now Mallett is approaching his first season with the Patriots much the same way.

Scrutiny Continues For Patriots' Ryan Mallett Post-NFL Draft

by Chris Bahn 5/3/2011 9:03 am

Being selected Friday by the New England Patriots in the third round with the 74th pick hasn’t put an end to the scrutiny focused on Ryan Mallett just yet. Mallett continues to be questioned in the press, something he’ll probably need to get used to in an NFL media market, particularly one like Boston.

Peyton Hillis Emerges From Shadow of Razorbacks' Other Talented Running Backs

by Chris Bahn 11/8/2010 9:00 am

Peyton Hillis was the least heralded of the trio of NFL backs drafted from Arkansas in 2008. Could that be changing for the former sixth-round draft pick?
