by Chris Bahn 2/16/2012 1:23 pm

Gus Malzahn sees plenty to sell recruits on when it comes to Arkansas State and Jonesboro. There’s his vision for making the Red Wolves a Top 25 program each season and turning the school into what he likes to call the “Boise State of the South.” Malzahn has proof that the Wolves can win thanks to last year’s 10-victory campaign. Jonesboro’s location is a selling point because of its distance from metropolitan areas like Little Rock, Memphis and St. Louis. And who wouldn't love the restaurant options?

by Chris Bahn 1/25/2012 3:12 pm

Apparently, you can cross Boise State off the list of potential 12th opponents for Arkansas in 2012. Broncos Athletic Director Mark Coyle told the Idado Statesman that playing the Razorbacks in Cowboys Stadium is not “on our radar.” Both schools are looking for a final opponent and had been linked together in schedule speculation by fans.

Razorbacks Move Up In Pair Of Polls, But Fall In BCS Standings

by Chris Bahn 10/23/2011 8:44 pm

Arkansas avoided a loss at Ole Miss. But the Razorbacks couldn’t avoid slipping in the BCS standings. A 29-24 victory against the Rebels wasn’t enough for Arkansas (6-1, 2-1) to maintain its spot in the BCS. Now the Razorbacks are No. 10, failing to move up in a week two Top 10 teams lost.

Saturday Roulette: Introducing The Rigged Slots Award; By The Way, It's Bama Week

by Doc Harper 9/23/2011 12:00 pm

If the first week of Saturday Roulette was the type that would make you think about quitting your job and betting on games for a living, the second week was the kind that makes The Wife tell you, “Clock in at work early on Monday.” Saturday Roulette humbly went 3-5 last week on the type of Saturday that felt cursed.

John Daly Brings Razorback Red To Boise's Blue Turf

by Chris Bahn 9/14/2011 10:22 am

Nobody can doubt John Daly’s college allegiance. Daly, the Dardanelle native and former University of Arkansas golfer, offered yet another display of love for the Razorbacks via Twitter this week. While in Boise, Idaho for a Nationwide golf event, Daly and his son made a visit to the famed “smurf turf” field at Boise State and were decked in Arkansas apparel.

Arkansas' Apex Uniforms: Ahead Of Their Time?

by Chris Bahn 9/6/2011 10:21 am

While engaging in conversation about uniforms with a few folks on Twitter last night during the Maryland-Miami game, those Barry Lunney Jr.-era Apex uniforms that Arkansas wore came up. You know the ones. Huge Hog and some sort of stripe on the shoulder pads, extra large numbers on the front. Were those uniforms simply ahead of their time? Does Apex — long panned as an apparel company, particularly among Razorback faithful — deserve more credit for this crazy uniform phenomenon?

TJ Carpenter: Can't Trust the BCS To Tell Us Who's the Best Team in the Country

by TJ Carpenter, Special to ArkansasSports360.com 10/29/2010 11:55 am

During the last week I’ve been put through BCS Boot Camp. Dan Wetzel, one of the co-authors of the book "Death to the BCS," looks at the most recent BCS rankings and is as baffled as everyone else at who is No. 1.

Bahn: Benefit of the Doubt From Voters No Longer Enough for Razorbacks

by Chris Bahn 10/8/2010 1:00 pm

Up to this point the Razorbacks’ best performance is arguably a loss. Granted it was a loss to the No. 1 team in the country, but how much longer will that resonate with folks? Never mind the computer programs which know no emotion and only factor wins and losses and margin of victory and strength of schedule. It won't be enough for Arkansas to win on Saturday. No, the Razorbacks need to crush Texas A&M.

by Chris Bahn 9/7/2010 2:58 pm

Football uniforms are always a hot topic for Arkansas fans. Switching to Nike in July added a little more fervor to the conversation and, judging from Jeff Long’s Twitter feed last night, fans are still very opinionated on the topic.

The Betting Man: Swearing This Year Will Be Better And Swearing Off The NFL

by Rob Keys 9/2/2010 8:04 am

Last season, The Betting Man bet every Arkansas game, and at least one SEC and one NFL game per week. This year, he's ditching the pros and making this a college-only endeavor. He'll pick the Arkansas game — assuming there's a line — at least one other game involving and SEC team, and at least one other game from outside the SEC. So, without further ado, here are the Week 1 selections.
