by Chris Bahn 7/24/2012 10:24 am

Arkansas running back Knile Davis and quarterback Tyler Wilson are making the trip to the headquarters of Sports Illustrated, CBS Sports and ESPN as part of an awards campaign conducted by Arkansas. It’s an exciting opportunity, but one that does not seem to have distracted Wilson from the real task at hand. Football games aren't won in a TV studio, ya know.

Razorbacks' Jeff Long 'Disappointed' With CBS For Replaying Petrino Outburst

by Chris Bahn 12/5/2011 8:53 am

Arkansas Athletic Director Jeff Long is disappointed with the sideline outburst that CBS cameras caught from Coach Bobby Petrino in a 41-17 loss at LSU on Nov. 25. But it’s not the word choice or Petrino’s actions — pointing across the field and delivering profanity in the direction of LSU’s Les Miles — that bother Long as much as the decision by CBS to show the outburst in slow motion, multiple times. Long took the network to task for its handling of the situation.

Bahn: No. 10 Razorbacks Proving 'Soft' Not An Appropriate Adjective As Injuries Mount

by Chris Bahn 10/4/2011 2:40 pm

Injuries absolutely would not be an excuse if Arkansas was 3-2 or worse right now. But that shouldn’t stop us from applauding the way the Razorbacks have handled a less than ideal situation. To this point the Razorbacks have survived mentally. Which is why I don’t think the term “soft” is fair game when describing this team. Fans have been offering that adjective up on Twitter, message boards and talk radio all season. Physically, does the team need to play stronger? Yes. There’s work to do, but equating this team with marshmallows or quality toilet paper is off the mark.

Harris: Dubious Replay Calls, TV Analysis, Passive Hog Defense and a Wild Saturday at Auburn

by Jim Harris 10/18/2010 1:59 pm

How easy it must be for Arkansas Razorback fans Monday, following a 65-43 loss at Auburn, to wonder what SEC replay official Jim Allison does for a living and hope it doesn’t involve having to use his eyes. However, Arkansas could have done plenty more on the field Saturday against Auburn to make any replay decisions moot.
