The University of Arkansas on Tuesday named Mark Power vice chancellor for University Advancement. He has been interim vice chancellor since August, following the resignation of Chris Wyrick.

Give Jeff Long and his staff credit for seeing areas they can improve and asking for feedback via a fan survey. Kudos to them for recognizing not all fans are happy, and being willing to open themselves up for suggestions. Ask for an opinion and there’s a really good chance you’ll hear something you don’t like. That’s the risk run with giving the customer a voice. But that’s the beauty of the survey. Arkansas is at least willing to listen. Doesn’t mean everyone will like the end result, but there’s at least an attempt at improving the product.
