The movement to provide more arts and entertainment options in northwest Arkansas continues to gain momentum, specifically in Bentonville. Home to the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and a proposed Walton Arts Center campus, the city is also the planned location of a children's museum.

The Art Newspaper publishes an annual list of the top 100 art museums in the world as measured by attendance. Though northwest Arkansas' own doesn't crack the list (topped by the Louvre, New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art and the British Museum), it does get a nice mention.
