by Evin Demirel, TheSportsSeer.Com 8/24/2012 12:00 pm

It’s late in the fourth quarter and Arkansas is down six points with the ball. All that is between the Razorbacks and the end zone is 30 yards and the best Alabama defense of all time. Of all Arkansas’ SEC players, who do you most trust protecting you? Which running back has the best chance of moving the chains? Who’s going to make the catch, then have the highest chance of breaking free? Our choices for the best Arkansas offensive players of the first 20 years in the SEC came from gut answers to questions like these ...

Bahn: Replacing Talented Trio Of Receivers Will Be 'Weird' For Petrino, Razorbacks

by Chris Bahn 3/14/2012 12:00 am

Bobby Petrino will walk out of the Broyles Complex and onto the turf at Reynolds Razorback Stadium today when spring practice begins. Just like always. Unlike the last three spring sessions and four fall camps since 2008, however, Petrino will not see Joe Adams, Greg Childs and Jarius Wright when he looks in the direction of the wide receivers. Petrino expects the process to replace the trio to be a challenge. And, well, weird.

Jim Harris: Razorbacks Jarius Wright, Joe Adams Paid Early Price, Now Exit on Big Roll

by Jim Harris 11/9/2011 2:30 pm

On Saturday, Arkansas Razorback fans will honor seniors such as record-setters Jarius Wright and Joe Adams for accomplishments that nobody likely saw coming during the fall of 2008. But, it was those early beatdowns suffered as freshmen, and never losing their moxie that season, that propelled Wright, Adams and the Razorbacks to a spectacular run over the past two seasons.

Bahn: Offensive Identity Still A Work In Progress For Petrino's 2011 Razorbacks

by Chris Bahn 9/2/2011 1:00 pm

Until we see the 2011 Razorbacks in action for a game or two, strengths and weaknesses of this group will be up for debate. Even with six offensive starters returning, things have changed and the offense will have a different feel than the one that stretched defenses with deep passes and outside running a year ago. Replacing last year’s key contributors are guys with vastly different skill sets than their predecessors. Even Arkansas Coach Bobby Petrino seems intrigued by the possibilities.

Jim Harris: Local Prep Rivalries In Kickoff Classic May Be 'Friendly,' But They Look Fierce On Field

by Jim Harris 8/24/2011 4:10 pm

Understandably, Central Arkansas Christian Coach Tommy Shoemaker is hoping for a low-scoring game when his Mustangs open the season on Monday against Pulaski Academy. "Low scoring and controlling the ball," he said. His Mustangs last year were one of 14 Pulaski Academy opponents who couldn't keep up when a football game broke out into a track meet, and Shoemaker knows a wide-open game favors talented Pulaski Academy again this year in the Arkansas High School Kickoff Classic.

Bahn: Football Success Highlights 2010-11 Arkansas Sports Rankings

by Chris Bahn 7/5/2011 2:45 pm

Bobby Petrino promised a nationally competitive football program when he was hired in 2007. Petrino made good on that promise in 2010, guiding the Razorbacks to 10 wins and a Sugar Bowl appearance. On top of that, Petrino’s vision for a $35 million football operations center came closer to reality and he agreed to a new contract that keeps him at Arkansas until 2017. Because of the success Petrino enjoyed in his third season, he’s my pick for Razorback Coach of the Year for 2010-11. Where does football rank? Keep reading to find out as I recap and rank the Razorback sports year. Each sport’s rankings include record, highlight(s) and team MVP.
