Heifer International’s third annual “Beyond Hunger: Feast in the Field” fundraiser was held on the grounds of Heifer Village, behind the Heifer International headquarters. Guests enjoyed a family-style dinner of all local foods prepared by the executive corporate chef from the Little Rock Marriott Heri-tage Grille Steak & Fin. Guests wore all white and were treated to special musical performances by Donna Massey & Blue Eyed Soul, plus the music of Brian Nahlen. In keeping with Heifer’s commit-ment to caring for the Earth, the evening was a “zero-waste” event, using only reusable recycled and compostable products. Sponsors included Acxiom, Baptist Health, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Charles & Susie Morgan and PrivacyStar, Little Rock Marriott Hotel Heritage Grill Steak & Fin, KARK 4 News, B98.5 FM, Riggs CAT, TCPrint and Windstream.

IABC Plans 'New Media' Workshop

The “Navigating the New Media” workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. June 26 at the Heifer International Village in Little Rock. The cost to attend is $50 for students, $75 for IABC members and $100 for nonmembers, the group said in a news release.
