Arkansas has commitments from four of the Top 5 in-state football recruits for the class of 2013 so far. Pulaski Academy tight end Hunter Henry committed last week. Fayetteville quarterback Austin Allen, safety Alex Brignoni and linebacker Brooks Ellis gave their pledges earlier this summer. That leaves North Little Rock running back Altee Tenpenny as the lone holdout. Where does Arkansas stand with him?

Pulaski Academy tight end Hunter Henry, one of the top recruits in the nation at his position, had narrowed his choices to a number of name schools, including a handful in the SEC. In the end he did opt for the SEC, but also chose to stay in state and play for Arkansas, his father's alma mater.

Arkansas basketball coach Mike Anderson and the Razorbacks added a sixth recruit to the Class of 2012 on Wednesday when Birmingham (Ala.) Lawson State Community College combo forward Coty Clarke committed. Clarke (6-foot-7, 225mpounds) arrived in Fayetteville on Tuesday for an official visit and knew shortly after arriving that Arkansas was the place he wanted to spend the next two years. Lawson College's Deddrick Tarver, who is an assistant coach at the school, thinks Arkansas is getting a player who will help them next season.

The headliners of this Junior Day might be the running backs. St. Louis (Mo.) John Burroughs 3-star Ezekiel Elliott, 6-0, 195, North Little Rock 4-star Altee Tenpenny, 5-11, 200, Denham Springs (La.) 3-star Kaleb Blanchard, 6-1, 200, Bentonville's Tearris Wallace, 5-10, 207, and Cordova (Tenn.) St. Benedict at Auburdale 4-star Jordan Wilkins, 6-0, 205, are all slated to be in Fayetteville on Saturday.

Fredi Knighten always had the athleticism, and there was no stopping him or Pulaski Academy once he learned how to be a quarterback. Knighten, the Bruins' standout signal-caller, led Pulaski Academy to a 14-0 record and Class 4A state championship this season. The senior was rewarded by being selected as the quarterback on this year's Arkansas Associated Press SuperTeam.

The closest anyone came to beating Pulaski Academy in 2011 was Lake Hamilton's 38-28 loss to the Bruins in September. Fayetteville invited PA up for an August scrimmage and, while we put little to no stock in summer exhibition scrimmages and we also know that Fayetteville improved significantly over the season to win the 7A title, the Bulldogs were no match for the Bruins weapons. And nobody snuffed teams defensively quite the way PA did this year. Greenwood was dominant in 5A, but were they this good? It will always be conjecture since we won't see it played out on the field between all the classification winners, but these Bruins, who destroyed 4A-7 rival Malvern on Saturday 63-28 for the 4A state championship, appear to reign supreme over the rest of the state's best.

Pulaski Academy tight end Hunter Henry, 6-5, 235, and North Little Rock running back Altee Tenpenny, 5-11, 200, are both 4-star recruits according to 247Sports and are rated among the Class of 2013 Top 247 released by 247Sports. Tenpenny is rated the No. 28 recruit in the nation while Henry is No. 76.
